In 1914, the Cyclone made its first major appearance at a Labor Day race
meet in California. The overhead-cam engineering was an immediate success,
giving an unequivocal demonstration of its speed advantage while winning both
the 5 and 10-mile National Championships.

records and cause a sensation on American race tracks.
